A 35-year-old woman feels out of step with the people closest to her and decides to fake a pregnancy in order to fit in with her friends. What begins as a lie meant to help her belong pulls her deeper into a role she is not actually living, as she tries to maintain the appearance of an expectant mother within a social circle where pregnancy has become a way to connect.
