Angsty teenager Syd is trying to get through the everyday mess of high school while dealing with tension at home and feelings she cannot quite sort out. As her crush on her best friend goes unreturned, another problem begins to surface: strange new superpowers she does not understand and can barely control. Now Syd has to manage growing up while trying to keep what is happening to her from taking over.
