Five medical students push the limits of science and their own curiosity by experimenting with near-death experiences. What begins as a daring attempt to explore what may lie beyond life soon takes a darker turn, as the consequences of past tragedies start to surface. As their experiments continue, the students find their lives increasingly threatened by forces they do not fully understand.
