On a remote Texas border ranch, an isolated and embittered rancher accidentally shoots a young migrant woman crossing his land. Fearful of what he has done, he reluctantly lets her hide on the property and recover. But the danger grows when his estranged son, a US Border Patrol agent, begins investigating, forcing the rancher to decide how far he will go to protect her and himself.
